Please complete the following non-gathered sessions and e-mail your completed work to LeRoy Orie (LOrie@churchredeemer.org) no later than May 1, 2008. It is your option to do these non-gathered sessions on your own, with your team members, with other youth, your family members or any way you can. However, please make sure that your full name is on the completed work so that you will receive credit.

ALL 10^TH GRADERS WHO PARTICIPATED IN R.E. THIS YEAR ESPECIALLY NEED TO TURN IN ALL FINISHED WORK BEFORE MAY 1, 2008 TO ENSURE YOUR ELIGIBILITY FOR CONFIRMATION IN THE FALL!

There is also the option to print out your work, place it in an envelope with your name on it and turn it into the church main office. If you need a different format, contact LeRoy Orie (746.4911 ext. 16 or LOrie@churchredeemer.org). You will be notified about your credit status no later than one week after receiving your completed document. It is strongly advised that you back-up and copy ALL of your work. E-mail problems or misplaced envelopes are not acceptable excuses for any lost work that you have done.

Lastly, if you are a 10^th grader in need of make-up work, please contact LeRoy Orie (746.4911 ext. 16 or LOrie@churchredeemer.org) to obtain those make-up sessions. Please remember that you can flat out miss up to two (2) R.E. sessions, without completing any make-up work, for the entire R.E. year and be credited as attending the year. Next, a maximum of two (2) R.E. make-up assignments will be accepted in that same year. In essence, you can miss a total of four (4) of the ten (10) R.E. gathered sessions, turn in the make-up work for any two (2) of the missed sessions and get credit for attending the year. Missing more than four (4) sessions, which means half of the R.E. sessions, will not allow you to receive credit for the year and you will not be allowed to participate in Confirmation in the fall. However, I do realize that there are a few extenuating circumstances that will cause some to miss more than what is stated above. Please contact LeRoy Orie (746.4911 ext. 16 or LOrie@churchredeemer.org) with those concerns to devise a solution.

I hope that this is clear and to the point. It is meant for those who are in situations that cause them to miss a R.E session. Your faith journey should be much more than “what do I need to do to get by” in order to get credit for attending R.E.
