Stewards support the youth and adult volunteers, from Redeemer and the wider community, who participate in the Tri-Cities Work camp mission in Petersburg, Virginia. Participation is welcomed for as little as one or as many as 10 days. The Diocese requires background checks for anyone over the age of 14 if volunteering for this ministry.
Lunch makers
Angels will prepare 30 lunches for each of the 10 days .
Time Commitment: 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. The weeks of July 12-16 and July 26-30.
Lunch Delivery
Angels deliver lunches to 4 separate crews in Petersburg area, pray with each crew and return to Redeemer. Vehicles must be large enough to carry 4 coolers. Youth drivers with written permission from parents or legal guardian are welcomed.
Time Commitment: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The weeks of July 12-16 and July 26-30.
Care Card Buddies
Angels will prepare cards and other small "thinking of you" notions to be delivered daily to each Redeemer Work Campers. Items should be prepared and delivered to church by 10:00 am on the assigned day.
