Volunteers participate in the Diocesan effort to help resettle newly arrived refugee families fleeing from religious or political persecution. This ministry includes helping to secure shelter, food, clothing, and transportation, as well as visiting and helping the families adjust to American life and English as a second language. The Diocese requires background checks for anyone over the age of 14 if volunteering for this ministry. Time commitment: As needed. Training and formation are provided. |
