Needs Assessment Update The Building Committee has assigned the Needs Assessment Team the task of “involving the members of the parish to identify the current and future needs of the parish”. Our initial interview process has focused on our current space utilization and the reflections for a future vision by our Redeemer staff. We have been uniformly impressed by the results of these interviews, both by our staff’s demonstrated grace in functioning well within a limited space, and their creativity and openness in sharing ideas for the future of our parish. Of particular note is the ingenuity of Mike Ryan, our Sexton, to find and use storage space, where seemingly none exists. The need for additional storage space is one of several themes developing from our conversations. Our next phase involves interviewing representative members of our various committees to review their current and future functional requirements in terms of building space. After assembling this information, the entire parish will be polled in order to keep this process as inclusive as possible. Our goal is to conclude our research and report our findings to the Building Committee by early December. We deeply appreciate the prayers and support of our parishioners and staff as we work toward that goal. |
