Sacramental Preparation


Infant Baptism: Parents are required to attend class prior to the baptism. Baptism celebrations by immersion occur on designated weekends of the year. Please call the office to schedule. Please contact Alec McGuire for more information.


First Reconciliation and First Communion: Students in 2nd grade and older are invited to prepare for these sacraments. Students are expected to regularly participate in religious education the year of sacramental preparation. Please register for these programs when registering for R.E.


Confirmation: Youth who are at least 15 years of age and entering the 10th grade are invited to prepare for Confirmation. They must also enroll in the Youth R.E. program. The process begins with an "Inquiry" phase over the spring and summer. 


Matrimony: Please contact Fr. Jim or one of the deacons at least six months prior to the wedding. Premarital classes are required.


Christian Initiation of Children: This process is for children age 8 and older who have not been baptized or who have been baptized in another Christian tradition and would like to enter the Catholic Church. Please contact Kate Chittum for additional information.


Christian Initiation of Adults: The process begins with a series of inquiry sessions for those interested in becoming Catholic. New groups are formed three times a year. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). Please contact Alec McGuire for more information.
